Raytheon salutes men and women of the armed services

Friday, Nov 02, 2012

To honor all who have served in the armed forces, Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) is encouraging Americans across the country to show their appreciation and support. On Veterans Day and throughout November, Raytheon will take to Twitter to encourage the community to share remembrances and express their appreciation for veterans by tweeting with the hashtag #HT4H (Hashtags4Heroes).

Raytheon's Hashtags4Heroes social advocacy campaign will bring people together to honor servicemen and women for their commitment and sacrifice. Expressions of gratitude and remembrance will be streamed and profiles will be posted on www.hashtags4heroes.com to highlight service personnel and organizations working to empower the nation's veterans.

"Our employees believe deeply in our corporate mission to protect our servicemen and women and bring them home safely," said Pamela Erickson, Raytheon's vice president of Community Relations. "On Veterans Day, we honor those who have defended our freedom at home and around the world. Hashtags4Heroes is one small way to help bring citizens together to express their deep appreciation."

In addition to the Hashtags4Heroes campaign, Raytheon will host Veterans Day recognition events across the country during November. Throughout the year, Raytheon and its employees are honored to express their gratitude with support of veterans' programs, veterans' employment initiatives, volunteerism and employee giving.
